Also on the outskirts of Primrose Hill and Regents Park you will find some of the newest developments of Camden, some converted from the existing warehouses, providing high quality residential apartments with views over Camden Lock and the Regent's Canal. Camden Town Tube is the centre of activity representing the main means of entry into the area, allowing a steady flow of people access to the markets and the surrounding area. Around 10 million visitors travel through Camden each year, be it to visit London Zoo which is set within Regent's Park, or just to browse around the shops and stalls located around the lock. Inverness Street Market founded back in 1900 is famous for its fruit and vegetable stalls, but has had to diversify into other fields of retail business over the past years. Stables Market located to the north of the tube, which can also be accessed through Chalk Farm Tube, consists of approximately 350 shops and stalls selling a variety of clothing and furniture. Camden Lock is in the centre of all the markets, and a hive of activity as far back as 1975, with its 250 stalls and workshops selling goods ranging from clothing to jewellery and music. Once night time falls Camden takes on a different feel, with renowned celebrated venues for music and dancing such as The Jazz Café, Dublin Castle, Camden Underworld, Electric Ballroom and Koko's Nightclub, formerly known as the Camden Palace. Comedy clubs such as Jongleurs, The Laughing Horse and The Liberties bar are just a small selection of live entertainment on offer. Stroll down any street leading to Camden Tube and you will have a choice and a variety of coffee bars, bars and restaurants offering flavours and smells from around the world, which all create the vibrant and varied area called Camden.
